Dear Families, Week 4 - check! It's been a month since we've all been immersed in distance learning. I don't say this lightly, I am SO proud of everyone! Each week as I prepare my blog, I browse through my archive of pictures and I can't help but smile as I reflect upon ALL the amazing memories we shared as a class family. Here's one from jersey day. Being a sports enthusiast, it's one of my favourites :-) Although distance learning has posed its challenges, the rewards have been wonderful too as I'm seeing so many at home learning experiences of my students that parents have been providing. Many of these opportunities are more than I could ever provide at school. They're superb! Kids are learning to cook, build sheds, gardens, sew, fish, and explore so many other magnificent things that I could list on and on! Dear Families, Week 3 - check! Thank you again for ALL your hard work boys and girls in the tasks assigned. Some of the highlights were the comic strips for COVID-19, the balloon powered Lego cars, and the wall-sit challenge (many made significant improvements in their times throughout the week). I am doing my best to offer timely feedback to help improve achievement, but also as a means to connect with my students and to reassure / help motivate them that everything they're doing at home for their distance learning means a lot to me!
