Dear Families, Week #8 - check! Thank you boys and girls for yet another successful distance learning week! Many of you are really getting into the novel study and are excited for chapter #6 and #7. Your enthusiasm and dedication to your daily tasks is appreciated!! It makes me even MORE EXCITED TO PLAN AND PREPARE having your interests in mind all the time. Can you tell it's me!? HAHA! My former colleague made this for me. It's fairly wet and rainy out there now! But, I see sun and cloud in the forecast for the weekend. I hope you'll enjoy it and take time for yourselves to rest and relax. Parents - YOU DESERVE IT! Responsibility: Next month's character trait is Responsibility – “We do the right thing even when ... Dear Families, I think we can all agree that this week was absolutely beautiful! The welcomed warmer temperatures and SUNSHINE was glorious wasn't it!? I'm sure many of you spent time outdoors! Below, you will find some students who took full advantage of their backyards having a blast!! It was a shortened school week with Monday being the holiday, but as always, students continued working hard in their distance learning. I am overjoyed by the efforts and outcome of students' completed tasks! A big thank you to parents who are assisting their child(ren). It does not go unnoticed :) Virtual Lesson on Google Meet: Exciting news everyone! On Monday, I have invited a VERY special teacher from our school to join our google meet to do a lesson about Bees and Making Honey! Any guesses on who it may be? Dear Families, Wishing you ALL a safe and happy Victoria Day long weekend with your loved ones. I know in my past, many students would be buzzing earlier this week about their trailers and going camping with friends. I realize this must be hard for some families as you may not get this opportunity to camp as you're used to, but I'm sure you'll find lots of other ways to make the most of this situation with your child(ren). Perhaps you'll stay nestled in the cozy comforts of your home or maybe, you'll find ways to enjoy your backyard or go for a walk. Whatever you choose to do, be safe and enjoy the moment! We WILL get through this trying time! Google Meets: Thank you to ALL the students who participated in Monday's Google Meet session. Our turnouts have been fantastic and it shows how much you care about your learning and peers. It is always so wonderful seeing your bright and beautiful smiles :-) Special thanks to Mrs. Johnson, Ms. West and M

Dear Families, Week 5 - check! I've continued to receive positive feedback from students and parents about the new layout for our weekly tasks. I'm delighted to hear this! It's a true JOY to think, create, and publish all the weekly activities that I do. What's even more exciting is seeing ALL the fantastic work pieces that're uploaded into the various distance learning folders. I can tell students are putting in their personal best which means a lot to me!! Below, I've posted a photograph from our last in-class visit with Wye Marsh. We spent periods 3/4 building structures and learning about animal adaptations and survival in the glorious snow. Speaking of which, did you hear we may be getting some of the white stuff this weekend?! Umm, wait, what!? So, I thought why not get into the chilly spirit and share this lovely photo of our class family. Bundle up this weekend everyone!! Thank you Mrs. Beattie for initiating this amazing video m
